Hello my crafty friends. Here in Gippsland, spring has sprung! We’ve been well swooped by our resident magpie (who has since calmed down), our flowering bushes are amazing, and the air smells of magnolia! So, with the air warming up, it’s time to start thinking about Christmas (well, Christmas cards at least!) It may seem strange to my northern hemisphere readers, but you really can do Christmas at the beach here – and we have in the past!
I really do love an Australian themed Christmas stamp. I use snowy products too, because why not celebrate everybody’s Christmas experience, but today we’re definitely in Australia with Koalas and gum trees! I have deliberately chosen colours for this colouring that are easy to blend, and I’ve made a video of the process for anybody that might feel a little daunted by Alcohol ink colouring. Here’s the video
I stamp using Memento Tuxedo Black ink for Copic colouring, because it will not bleed with the the markers. I used low contrast colours and worked from dark to light. I (of course) cut the image(s) with my Stitched Rectangle dies, and added sentiments from the Crisp Christmas Sentiment Sheets. Please take a moment to pause and try saying that a few times- it’s a challenge! “Crisp Christmas Sentiment Sheets”
I hope that these cuties have brought a smile to your face, and that you’re having fun crafting, wherever you may be. For more crafty inspiration, feel free to follow me on YouTube or Instagram, or my blog.
Until next time, keep having fun,
Blessings
Donna
