You Make My Heart Smile - Kelly Bates

You Make My Heart Smile - Kelly Bates

Tania Ridgwell |

Hello friends! Today I’m sharing a sweet friendship card with you that is super quick and easy to make so let’s get into it!
Other products used: die cutting machine, 3 coordinating pink inks (mine were Simon Hurley in Piggyback, Rosy Cheeks and Prom Queen), liquid glue, shimmer pen, masking tape.
Technique: I scored and folded a sheet of the White smooth cardstock in half and then masked the card at the fold. I then used my blending brushes to add my 3 inks in a circular motion from the centre out, starting with my lightest and ending with my darkest colour, and once happy set aside to dry. I die cut 3 of the floral hearts dies from another sheet of the smooth white cardstock and glued those together for dimension. Once my card was dry, I added the heart to centre, put my sentiment in the centre of the heart, then added 5 clear crystals. I finished the card by adding clear shimmer pen to the exposed areas of the floral heart.
