Hi everyone and thanks for visiting my card corner today. They say that birds fly north for the winter and living in Melbourne makes me want to do the same thing!! Today I am back with a design team post for Paper Rose Studio and it’s all about flying away with these sweet little birds – in a rainbow order, of course!!!
To start the card I created a card base with Chantilly Cream cardstock from My Favorite Things that measures 4.25 x 5.5 inches. I then die cut a panel of Neenah 80lb cardstock using the Pierced rectangle dies. I added this to the card base with foam tape.
I then moved on to die cutting all the pieces for the birds using the Little Bird Builder Duo die. This is the perfect way to use up all those odd pieces of cardstock you have lying around!! I chose three shades per bird. The lighter shade for the body, mid shade for behind the body and then darker for the wings. I glued all of the pieces together and adhered to the card base. For they eyes, I just went over the piece from the coloured cardstock die cut and covered with black Copic marker and then glued into place.
That completes today’s card, I hope you like the clean and simple look and I hope it may inspire you to get die cutting.
Thank again for visiting…..
