Hello friends!
Two blogs in two days! I’m on a roll. Also rolling here in Tokyo are both the ground (we had another earthquake today) and the skies, as we’re in a thunderstorm at the moment!
Today’s card is a slimline card. I really like this format. It does take more paper than a regular a6 card, but you can really mix up the designs. Last time I coloured these Cupcakes, they were super bright. You can see that card here. But today, it’s all things pastel.
The cupcakes are from a fun set of 6 called Hey Cupcake! and they are a lot of fun to colour. This is the type of stamp that could be coloured even without blending or fancy tricks and would look great. I cut the stamps with the matching dies before colouring them with Copics. I’ve been cutting before colouring quite a bit lately and it’s saved a few tears!
If you’re someone who enjoys watching instead of reading, feel free to see the quick video I made of the cardmaking process.
The lovely stitched circles background was cut using the Slimline Card Creator Circles die from Paper Rose Studio ( try saying that three times fast!) I then cut a piece of Monochrome Basics 1.1 paper with a tiny black polkadot to be my background.
I popped the cupcakes up with foam tape and did the same for the sentiment which was cut from the Black and White sentiments pack. Some cute little pastel confetti pieces completed the panel, which I then adhered with foam tape to a slimline card base from Paper Rose Studio.
I hope you’ve enjoyed your time here with me and are inspired to get making! If you’d like to see more of my cards, you can visit my on my Instagram feed here. Until next time, may your days be sweet!
Blessings,
