Merry Christmas - Kelly Bates

Merry Christmas - Kelly Bates

Tania Ridgwell |

Hiya friends and welcome to my last post for 2023! What a year my friends, what a year. I’m ending it with a fun interactive card that you can personalise with your own message, or stamp it like I have below, so let’s get into it!
For this card I started with a piece of the Smooth White Cardstock, which I die cut the Envelope Die and several Holly Builder Die Set‘s from. I added a shadow line to the envelope edges using a C0 Copic marker. I ink blended the holly in Grass and Poppy inks, allowed them to dry then used a thin white paint pen to add details. I die cut a sheet from the 6×6 Oh So Sweet Christmas paper collection with the largest Stitched Rectangle nesting die for the background.
I added thin foam tape to the bottom 3 edges of the envelope die cut and measured what space I had inside that to create a small message card which I cut from the leftover Smooth White Cardstock. I stamped my Blocky Merry Christmas sentiment using Poppy Ink onto the lower part of it, then added one of my holly die cuts to the top of the panel, and hand drew a small arrow.
To assemble: I added my envelope to the middle of the card, using the foam tape at the bottom and Glue to the top flap. I then glued my remaining holly pieces onto top of the envelope and slid my message card into the envelope pocket. I then added the whole panel to a Card Base.
I want to wish you all a wonderful and safe Christmas, New Years and summer/winter break! Thank you for visiting my blog and I look forward to seeing you all again next year! – Kelly
