Hello again crafty friends.
I have a set of cards for you today that use no colouring at all. I’m a big fan of colouring flowers, but I know not everybody is, so I thought I’d do something a bit different today. I’ve used the Card Creator Windows from Paper Rose Studio as my main inspiration for the cards. There are four cards in total, although only three are in this first photo.
I started with a bunch of paper scraps in blues, greys and browns. Although I love geometric designs, I do like to have something to soften all the straight lines, so I achieved that today with some gouache mixed with water and splashed liberally all over the papers. Once the paint was dry, I cut the pieces using the Card Creator die, to give rectangles with a range of sizes and textures.
I chose some contrasting cardstock for each of the cards. Two of the cards use the Hand Stitching 2 embossing folder to give dimension to some Paper Rose Studio smooth white cardstock.
I adhered the pieces down using a mix of foam tape and glue. One thing that I was thinking about as I chose the height was where the die cut sentiments would sit. I wanted them to have a level base. I used the Congratulations and the Thank You from the fine script dies from Paper Rose. I then also added sentiments from two of the paper sentiment strips in my stash – Black and White Sentiments and So Extra white sentiments.
I hope that you are having an enjoyable start to March and that the weather is getting milder, whether you’re coming out of summer, or out of winter. Have a great day my friends.
Until next time,
Blessings,
