Hello crafty friends. How are you doing? I’ve been busy studying translation, interpreting, and a bunch of formal Japanese. Never a dull moment here! I have a solitary card to share with you today, after a run of sets of cards, or pairs at the very least. But this card has quite a few sneaky details that I want to share with you.
The feature image comes from a set of Wedding Blooms Embossed Die cuts, from Paper Rose Studio, which actually have a bit of a wedding theme, although you can see from this card that they are more than suitable for birthday cards too. I created my own background panel using the Text Background Stamp, also from Paper Rose. I stamped this off onto another panel at full strength, then made a second stamping which I used here. I’ve used the panel upside down so that the script really disappears. I also ink blended around the outside of the panel to frame the card. Behind this panel is a piece of Shimmer cardstock in Winter Blue, in a beautiful matching blue.
The sentiment comes from Rainbow Poppies sentiment sheets, which never seem to run out! I did also add a few clear gems to finish off the card, as well as some twine from my stash. I’m still learning to tie a nice bow on a card!
Until next time, may your days be sunny
Blessings,
Donna
