Hello crafty friends. I’m back with a pair of cards today, using the Bird of Paradise stamp from Paper Rose Studio. We’ve been on the most amazing trip around Shikoku in Japan, where the cherry blossoms were out of this world. We have taken so many photos we don’t know what to do!
Both of these cards have a background made using a stencil called Fish Net. I used a mix of yellows and greens on both backgrounds, blending through the stencil, and then removing the stencil to blend away some of the white background. I have made a video of the making of these cards, which you can see below. Don’t forget that you can subscribe to my YouTube channel to see all upcoming videos.
The Bird of Paradise image is stamped in Memento Ink and coloured with Copic Markers, and then I cut the border from one of the papers in the Monochrome Garden paper pack to use as a strip down the side, and added some sentiments from Big Sentiments 1.0. I have added links for everything below in case you’re looking for something. Pretty much everything is available in both Australia and the USA.
The different placement of the ink blending gave me two very different cards, and it was interesting to note that it was much easier to colour the image where I’d left the light border around it.
Until next time, may your days be full of flowers!
Blessings,
Donna
