Hello crafty friends. The weather is warming up here at the beach, and my cards have taken a turn for the sunnier! Today I have a slimline card to share with you that features three of Paper Rose Studio’s beach huts.
There is a video showing the process of this card, with the exception of colouring the beach huts (I did that off camera), that you can see below.
The background for this card was made by first cutting a panel using a Stitched rectangle slimline die, and then inkblending to represent the sand and the sea (or perhaps the sky) I used Distress Inks in Antique Linen and Mermaid Lagoon and an Altenew yellow called Warm Sunshine.
Once the basic blending was done, I splashed the blue areas with more of the Mermaid Lagoon ink, watered down, and then the whole panel with clear water, which I sopped up with paper towel, and then Liquid Sparkle from Paper Rose.
The huts (Beach Hut 1, Beach Hut 2 and Beach Hut 3)were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured with Copic Markers and Coloured Pencils. I popped these up with foam Tape and then chose a sentiment from the All Occasions Sentiment Strips for the bottom corner. That completed the card!
That’s all for today. I’m off to the beach! Take care, my friends, and I’ll see you soon!
Blessings
