Hello crafty friends. How are you doing. I’m typing this on a rainy April day, very thankful for some rain after a few dry summer months. I’ve been hard at work studying and really loving it. And this week, it’s a lecture free week, so I’ve had time to edit a video. Yay! I’ve missed doing this for the past month. Here are the three cards for today
You can watch the video here:
The feature supply for this set of cards is the Little Bird Builder die from Paper Rose. I cut a bunch of birds and wings from a colourful sheet of the Rainbow Garden Basics papers. I then attached the wings with a small dot of glue front and back.
The cards above and below were made with a window die called Card Creator 1, also from Paper Rose. Both of them use plain white card, as well as some Seafoam Shimmer cardstock, which is in one of my favourite colours. I’ve linked to all the supplies below, and you can choose whether you follow the link to Paper Rose in Australia, or to a US store, depending on where you’re reading this from.
Finally, I have a card with a background that gave me quite a bit of grief. I’d washed all my ink blending brushes, and they were acting like we’d never met before. But brute force from me prevailed, and I have the card below to share with you. (Only a little bit of the background ended up in the bin!) When adhering the birds on all these cards, I used small foam squares, placing them carefully so you couldn’t see them through the little holes in the birds.
That’s all for today. I hope that you’ve enjoyed this little burst of happy birds. I look forward to sharing more cards with you soon! Until next time, may your days be full of colour.
Blessings
Donna
