Hello crafty friends. I hope you’re doing well. In between study for my upcoming Japanese exam, I’ve been out enjoying some early autumn colour in Tokyo. (also some excellent pizza, but that’s another story!) I have a pair of colourful cards for you today that are really easy to make and very customisable.
These cards both start with a piece of white paper and a slimline die. The Slimline Card Creator die 1 makes the rectangle card, and the Slimline Card Creator die 2 is used for the circles. I cut both of these from Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock, and put the frames aside while I worked on the centres.
There’s a video! You can see it below.
I ink blended each of the central circles and rectangles, first with a light hand, then with a stencil attached, and a heavier hand, with the same colour. Here are the combinations I used.
For the rectangle card, I glued the frame down and popped the centres up with foam tape. For the card with the circles, I did the opposite – popping the frame up and then glueing the circles down into the gaps. I added some glitter enamel dots to the card with the circles, and I’ve linked to those below as well as all the products I’ve used for these cards. But you could easily make this cards with the stencils that you have in your stash too.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these bright fun cards, and are able to make the most of any stencils you have in your stash. Until next time, may your days be full of fun,
Blessings,
Donna
